Hi everyone,

I plan to leave this Blog open for you, in the hope that you may wish to use it to keep in contact with your fellow students.

As you move on in your studies and with your careers, you may like to come back every so often and post a comment. It’s up to you but I hope that you do.

However, if there is no activity on the site, within 3 months, I will consider shutting it down. Should anyone be interested in administering the site, please let me know via email.

A final comment:

I have enjoyed teaching everyone during the past months. Of all the student groups whom I have taught over the past 20 years…from clinical settings through to university students…your UNIQUE mix of personalities and experiences, has made you stand out above the rest. A simply fabulous group of students and nurses!!

Kind regards

Ivonne

Student Instructions

Welcome to the CRN 46338 blog at Edublogs.

To get started, simply log in using the username and password that I send via email. The front page should show my initial comment about cancer and ethnic and minority groups. Read through the text about the incidence of cancer, click on the hyperlinked text within the paragraph to read the media article.

THEN, type in your response to the question. I am asking you to identify at least 1 government strategy you know of , which shows how the government is trying to manage (reduce) the incidence of cancer in minority and ethnic groups. You are free to select any minority group and this is not restricted to ethnic groups.

  • You can discuss more than one strategy if you wish.
  • The strategy may be directed to cancer generally or targetted more specifically to a particular type of cancer eg colon cancer.
  • You should identify the strategy AND put your opinion as to why you think it works or does not work.

For assistance, visit our comprehensive support site, check out our getting started with Edublogs guide or stop by The Edublogs Forums to chat with other edubloggers.
